The Illawarra Feltmakers Inc.

All feltmakers  and people interested in the craft of feltmaking are invited to meet with The Illawarra Feltmakers Incorporated at the ShellCove Community Centre in Shellharbour NSW.

• We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month.
• Please bring everything you need for making your own felt project.
• Bring your lunch, a drink, and anything you would like to share about the feltmaking you have been doing. 
  
• Time: 10am to 3pm (come for part or all of the day)
• The Shellcove Community Centre is located on the corner of Southern Cross Boulevard and Hinchenbrook Drive in ShellCove, Shellharbour.

We are looking forward to having a stall and teaching some feltmaking at The Berry Fibre muster, Berry NSW  July 2nd and 3rd. This is a must attend event for all who are interested in the fibre crafts and associated industries. We look forward to seeing you there.

Rachel meek will be teaching a workshop  in August 2010 for our group in felting network scarves and various aspects of dyeing. She is a most excellent feltmaker and we are looking forward to this treat. 

We have received a IMB Community Foundation grant to assist our group in obtaining felting equipment and teaching school children feltmaking towards the end of this year. This is an exciting step forward for our group.

We are also part of a design student project at Wollongong University who is helping us to design logos, websites, and brochures etc. We look forward to working towards using these designs to promote feltmaking and our group in the near future.
